Know Ye Present and Future (people) that I John Marchant of Dartford have given granted and by this my present charter confirmed unto Robert Baronn of Dartford and Alice his wife pasture for four oxen with appurtenances which they have in the town of Dartford in a place called Barelese adjoining the meadow of Ralph de Fremlingham Knight to the south and a field called Templefield on the east side, granting and conceding to the aforesaid Robert and Alice half an acre of meadow with its appurtenances which lies in a part of Dartford in a place called Crouchedacre for alternate years with the Prior of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem in England. To Have and To Hold the aforesaid pasture and its appurtenances and also the aforesaid half acre of meadow with its appurtenances to the aforesaid Robert and Alice and their heirs and assigns, of the Lords in chief of that fee for the services thence due and the customary rights.I the aforesaid John and my heirs the aforesaid pasture with its appurtenances and the aforesaid half acre of meadow and its appurtenances to the aforesaid Robert and Alice and their heirs and assigns do against all men warrant in perpetuity. In testimony whereof to this may present charter I ahve affixed my seal, with these witnesses - John Michel, Richard de Stone, Richard Sones, John Godman, Richard Winchester, John Bere, John Pottere and others. Given at Derteford on Sunday next after the Feast of All Saints in the seven and twentieth year of the reign of King Edward the Third after the Conquest.(ie 1353)
